Kyle Hartzell, founder of System Eighty One, is regarded as one of the foremost authorities on defense in the history of lacrosse. He played collegiately winning a national championship at Salisbury University, and used that foundation as a stepping stone to a long post college career. A professional world champion, Hartzell was an all-star, had the league's fastest shot, and was the first ever defenseman to win the professional championship weekend MVP. Kyle represented his country three times for Team USA both indoor and outdoor. Retiring in 2023, Hartzell uses his lifetime of experience to shape young athletes accomplish their goals as lacrosse players and solid citizens. Kyle is currently the head coach for the University of Texas Longhorns.
